She earned her medical degree at Boston University School of Medicine and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UCLA. Prior to pursuing medicine, Dr. Lewis obtained her Bachelor of Arts in both Latin American studies and fine art from Yale University.

Dr. Lewis has special interests in fertility preservation, recurrent pregnancy loss and the effect of fibroids on fertility. Dr. Lewis decided to pursue the field of infertility medicine because it transforms lives, allowing her the opportunity to affect change in the most fundamental way.

“To be able to give patients the ability to conceive no matter what their circumstances gives me incredible joy,” she says. “Our identity is in part closely linked to our reproductive development, and I hope to provide patients with treatment options that not only improve their quality of life, but give them fertility possibilities they might not otherwise have.”

When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Lewis conducts research on public perspectives of fertility preservation, image analysis of embryos to improve embryo selection and the effect of obesity on in vitro fertilization (IVF) outcomes.

Dr. Lewis grew up in Southern California and recently moved back to the West Coast to be closer to family and to see more sunshine, particularly in the winter. When she’s not practicing medicine, Dr. Lewis enjoys traveling, learning different languages, hiking and yoga.
