McKenzie Dixon, PA-C

Physician Assistant-Certified

McKenzie Dixon earned her bachelor’s degree in integrated biology from the University of California, Berkeley. She went on to earn a master’s in physician assistant studies from Samuel Merritt University. She not only adds a wealth of knowledge and skills to our team, but as an IVF (in vitro fertilization) baby herself, she also brings that unique experience and dedication.

McKenzie discovered her passion for healthcare while volunteering for Peer Health Exchange, a program where she taught health modules to Oakland high schoolers. It was her first experience getting to talk to young women about their reproductive health, and it inspired her to do more. She has aspired to work with women to educate them about their bodies and help to empower them to make the best decision possible.

McKenzie enjoys being able to be a part of a patient’s journey. From the emotionally difficult times to the wonderfully joyful times, she wants to be there as a provider, an educator and a friend. From her perspective she knows how being a patient feels, and she wants to make sure that no one ever feels alienated or talked down to when under her care.

She believes healthcare is a team sport and she wants to work together to find success in whichever way possible. McKenzie values her interactions with patients and works toward providing an experience where her patients appreciate her ability to both lighten the mood (when applicable) and deeply empathize with them when sad news has been delivered.

Her areas of focus are saline sonograms, mock embryo transfers, endometrial receptivity assays, OB sonograms, baseline sonograms, antral follicle counts, new patient visits, and gestational carrier screening and exams.

McKenzie is from a small beach town in southern California, and when she’s not working she loves going to yoga, playing soccer, trying new foods, hiking and camping. She also enjoys playing music, spending time with friends and family, and has been recently working her way through embroidery and many puzzles.

I believe that there is no one correct answer for any problem. My goal when caring for patients is to have open, candid conversations and to educate them so they may make informed decisions that work for them.
