“It’s a syndrome, not a disease,” says Dr. Homer
In an interview with Celmatix, the developer behind the Polaris Treatment Navigator, Dr. Michale Homer talked about how PCOS can affect a woman’s’ ability to conceive – and what to do about it. Even though PCOS is common, Dr. Homer explained that PCOS infertility can be tough to diagnose because it presents differently in different patients.
“A syndrome is defined as, ‘a group of symptoms that consistently occur together or a condition characterized by a set of associated symptoms’, ” says Dr. Homer. “This means that even in our own clinic, we can see variants of PCOS symptoms.”
