Remote Monitoring
At the Reproductive Science Center (RSC), we understand that traveling for fertility treatments can be challenging. To make your journey more convenient, we’ve developed the Open Access Program (OAP), allowing you to receive essential monitoring services at partner locations closer to your home, minimizing the need for frequent visits to our main offices.
Request an AppointmentHow the Open Access Program Works
Upon enrolling in the OAP, you’ll be assigned a dedicated RSC physician and a Case Manager who will oversee your treatment. Your initial consultation will take place at one of our primary offices, where you’ll discuss your medical history, undergo necessary evaluations, and determine the most suitable treatment plan. If IVF is recommended, your CM will coordinate with a local monitoring provider to facilitate services such as:
- Ultrasound Examinations: To monitor follicle development and uterine lining.
- Blood Tests: To assess hormone levels and other relevant markers.
Coordination Between RSC and Partner Locations
Your RSC physician will remain responsible for all treatment decisions throughout your IVF cycle. The partner monitoring facility will perform specific services as outlined in your personalized treatment plan. Should you have any questions or concerns during your cycle, please direct them to your RSC physician or Case Manager. Our team is available daily to support you through every step of your fertility journey.
Procedures at RSC’s San Ramon Office
While the OAP minimizes travel, certain key procedures will be conducted at our San Ramon IVF Center, including:
- Egg Retrieval: The surgical procedure to collect eggs from the ovaries.
- Embryo Transfer: The placement of embryos into the uterus.
These critical steps require specialized facilities and our experienced medical team to ensure the highest standards of care.
Partner Involvement
We encourage your partner to accompany you during visits to our offices, especially during pivotal procedures. As applicable, the male partner may need to provide a semen sample on the day of egg retrieval and is ideally present during the embryo transfer to participate in decisions regarding the number of embryos to transfer. Additionally, it’s essential to arrange transportation home after both the egg retrieval and embryo transfer procedures, as you’ll require assistance following sedation.
Consent Forms and Financial Considerations
Before commencing treatment, you’ll receive consent forms from your Case Manager that must be completed and returned to RSC. Financial Educators at both RSC and the partner monitoring facility will provide detailed information about service fees, insurance coverage, and payment options. Please note that RSC and the monitoring facility operate as separate entities, each with its own billing policies. Payments to RSC are due at the time of service, and we accept various payment methods, including cash, major credit cards, and personal checks (with advanced notice).
Partner Monitoring Locations
As part of the OAP, we collaborate with select partner locations to offer monitoring services closer to your residence. For instance, our Monterey Monitoring Clinic provides convenient access to services for patients in that area. Your CM will coordinate with the appropriate partner facility to ensure seamless integration of services.
RSC’s Open Access Program is designed to make your fertility journey as convenient and stress-free as possible by integrating local monitoring services with our comprehensive fertility treatments. Our dedicated team is committed to providing personalized care, ensuring that you receive the highest quality treatment while minimizing travel disruptions.
