Reproductive Science Center of the Bay Area responds to growing community

SAN RAMON, Calif., Sept. 2, 2014 – Continuing an expansion of services to accommodate growing community needs, ReproductiveScience Center of the Bay Area (RSC) has added a seventh physician, reproductive endocrinologist Sara Reid, MD. This past spring the practice also opened doors to its new 16,500-square-foot space at 100 Park Place in San Ramon.

Dr. Reid recently completed her three-year fellowship at University of California, San Francisco. Her clinical interests include the ethical use of reproductive technologies, LGBT family building, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and ovarian aging.

“As reproductive scientists and practitioners, we need to provide all individuals and couples the best chance of starting a family,” said Dr. Reid, who received a Masters of Translational Medicine from UC-Berkeley. “As technology advances, it’s important to ensure we are assessing the individual needs of each patient to find a treatment that’s both scientifically and socially responsible.”

The arrival of Dr. Reid is more than an affirmation of the practice’s vision of “drawing on combined experience in the field of fertility.”

“The South Bay community is growing and so are our practice needs,” said Dr. Deborah Wachs, RSC reproductive endocrinologist. “Our search centered on finding a physician who displays extraordinary clinical skill and complements our progressive approach to treating fertility patients. Dr. Reid will have an immediate impact at RSC.”

Dr. Reid, a Texas native, earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and later served as Obstetrics & Gynecology resident at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
