Infertility Overview

Infertility is the inability to become pregnant after a year of unprotected intercourse, six months if the female is older than 35. It can result from fertility problems with either the male, female or both.

Infertility Diagnosis

When should you get help from a fertility specialist? How is infertility diagnosed? A thorough fertility evaluation of both partners may determine the cause of infertility and the most appropriate treatment to help them get pregnant.

Female Infertility

For a woman to be fertile, her body must produce healthy eggs that can be reached by sperm cells, and have a healthy uterus; however, several problems can diminish a woman's fertility.

Miscarriage

A miscarriage occurs whenever a pregnancy ends from natural causes before the 20th week of pregnancy. Miscarriages commonly occur in the first few days or weeks in the pregnancy, and can be caused by my factors.

Fertility Drugs

In general, infertility drugs work by releasing the hormones that either initiate ovulation or regulate it. Some are taken by mouth, and others are injected.
