Corks with Cade Fundraising Event for Infertility Treatment

2021 California Corks with Cade

Reproductive Science Center of the San Francisco Bay Area is proud to announce that we are once again the presenting sponsor of the Corks with Cade infertility treatment and adoption fundraising event. This is RSC’s fourth year as a Corks with Cade sponsor, and last year we raised $48,000 altogether. Our 2021 fundraising goal is $20,000. This year’s in-person event will take place on August 28, 2021.

Celebration details

This year’s celebration that benefits the Tinina Q. Cade Foundation (TQCF) will take place at Dante Robere Vineyards in Livermore, CA, from 6-9 p.m. There will be a wine tasting, food trucks, silent auction and a DJ. We are expecting 200-300 event attendees.

Tickets cost $50 and include the wine tasting, one wine glass and a $10 food truck voucher. As always, we will also honor the leaders whose work has helped families that have experienced infertility. 2021’s Family Building Champion award recipient is RSC’s Sheldon B. Josephs, FACHE.

This fundraising event helps families with infertility grow

All of the proceeds from the Corks with Cade event will go toward the Tinina Q. Cade Foundation’s Family Building Grants. These funds are allocated for the costs of infertility treatments or adoption.

2019’s winner of the Tinina Q. Cade Foundation’s Family Building Grant was Jenafer Ramirez of Sacramento. Jenafer and her partner tried to conceive naturally for several years without success. After applying for and being awarded the Family Building Grant, her second round of in vitro fertilization (IVF) was successful. In October of 2020 they welcomed their son, R.J. She is incredibly grateful to the Cade Foundation and RSC for all of their continued support, time and attention.

Past event details

In 2018 and 2019 we raised $62,964.25 combined. In 2020 we exceed our goal and raised $48,000 in combined sponsorship, ticket sales and donor egg lots. We always have a blast at this event. Keep reading for all of the fun details from years past.

In 2020 Corks with Cade went virtual with a wine tasting guided by a sommelier and a private cooking lesson by a master chef. That was followed by a fun virtual game night. A live DJ spun great tunes throughout the evening. Dr. Louis Weckstein was honored as the 2020 Family Building Champion.

RSC continued its commitment of supporting patients in need of costly infertility treatments with its second annual Corks with Cade fundraiser. The event featured live music, wine, gourmet food and a silent auction with all proceeds going to support the Cade Foundation’s Family Building Grants.

This year, RSC’s 35th anniversary, was our first year to sponsor the Corks with Cade fundraiser. We had a good turnout with a wine tasting, jazz and a silent auction.
