Exciting News: We’re Restarting Fertility Cycles!

on

Thanks to your patience, we are restarting fertility cycles in person

Dear Reproductive Science Center Family,

couple holding hands hopeful to restart fertility cycles | Reproductive Science Center of the SF Bay AreaThank you for doing your part to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community. We miss seeing you and we miss the opportunity to support you in person on your fertility journey.

Good news: Everyone’s dedication to health and healing has paid off as we see the curve flattening in the Bay Area. The other good news: We are ready for you – the embryo tanks are full, the OR is running smoothly and the place is sparkling clean. (We have been here all along.)

We greatly appreciate your support and patience in waiting to start new fertility treatment cycles during the pandemic. Limiting interactions over the last several weeks helped prevent an undue burden on our healthcare system as medical professionals sought to catch up with the rapid spread of COVID-19.

We are excited to share that we are able to restart new egg retrieval cycles and other treatments beginning NOW! We will see patients in person at our San Ramon location, with our Los Gatos location reopening in the near future.

Fertility cycles and care is essential and safe

Fertility care is defined as essential by the state of California, and as a standalone private practice, we will not be diverting any medical care away from COVID-19 treatment needs in the community.

We know your goal is to have a baby. Rest assured, data does not suggest any additional risk to moms or babies, so it is safe to pursue fertility treatment cycles  and conceive while social distancing.

Telemedicine appointments & other ways we’re keeping patients and staff safe

Due to the most recent Contra Costa Health Services notice on April 17, 2020, all patients must arrive at the clinic wearing a face mask covering both their nose and mouth. Please make sure you have this type of mask and put it on prior to coming into the clinic for your appointment. Patients will also be screened prior to entering the clinic.

We will continue conducting telemedicine appointments for new patient consultations and current patient re-consultations to ensure we keep in-clinic patient activity lower and limit risk of viral spread.

We have opened up two additional exam rooms to further aid in social distancing while we restart fertility cycles. The intent is having only one patient in the waiting area at a time.

We are further limiting the number of people in the clinic by asking that only the patient come into the clinic. All other individuals (including children) will be asked to wait outside the clinic or in their vehicle.

We look forward to seeing you and resuming your fertility treatment

We are doing everything in our power to keep both our patients and staff healthy, safe and advancing toward their fertility goals. Nothing that we do would be possible without the immense trust that you place in us, and we look forward to continuing to partner with you.
